The concert will start with a songwriter-in-the-round showcasing recent work by each artist and a discussion of the songwriting process // Beth McKee will launch the second set with the North Carolina debut of her new album Sugarcane Revival with special guests performing New Orleans-centric songs in a coordinated jam. Big Easy food and drink to complete the scene.

From Relish: “The idea originated with Deborah Randolph, a friend and fan of McKee’s who also happens to be the curator of education for SECCA. She and her husband were displaced by Katrina and, ultimately, ended up moving to Winston-Salem. “It’s a thank-you to the people in North Carolina for taking care of us and others, and all the people who moved here,” Randolph said. “And all the people in North Carolina who went down to New Orleans and helped the city. “I wanted to commemorate the 10th anniversary, not for what happened, but actually for the renaissance and revival and resurgence, and to thank everybody.”
