>> Bookmarks Festival of Books & Authors: this annual event presented by Winston-Salem based non-profit, Bookmarks brings over 40 world renowned authors to our community for talks, special programming and school visits. It is the Carolina’s largest event of its kind. Check out the featured authors and schedule of appearances here.

Sunday, September 13th

@ Corner of Fourth & Cherry Streets
>> Second Sundays on Fourth: The goal of this monthly festival is “To bring great music and free family-friendly fun to downtown Winston-Salem, and in the process support local businesses and nonprofits that make Winston-Salem a happier, more prosperous and vibrant community.” This month’s headline is California’s own, The Donkeys, bridging influences such as The Grateful Dead, The Byrds, and indy rock to create a sound full of mellow, sunny grooves. Opening act, Silver Sedan.
