On February 11th and 12th, Mast General Store will donate $1 for each pound of candy purchased to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC. Colony Urban Farm Store is Winston-Salem’s first and only retail destination that specifically caters to the urban farming community. The shop provides supplies and workshop-based education to backyard chicken keepers, beekeepers, and gardeners of all varieties (including hydroponics!). Oh and did I mention that they have honey on tap? Yep. Honey Bar will be flowing tomorrow with rotating flavors and varietals, as well as over thirty prepackaged types of local, regional and imported honeys. Mmmmm!

The Creek is bringing Mardi Gras to Bethania! Masks will be provided along with festive King Cake and of course, great music by the Muddy Creek Players. The venue’s house band, the Muddy Creek Players, is a 7-piece musical group performing original music written by the band’s founder Bill Heath. Each year they perform five popular shows at the Creek bringing in exceptional local vocalists to join in on the fun. This Saturday, local favorites and powerhouses, Martha Bassett, Charly Lowry and Andrea Templon join the Players to take the stage.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12th

Join the Yoga(mmunity) tribe at beautiful Westbend Winery & Brewery in Lewisville on Sunday for a one-hour, all levels yoga class followed by a glass of wine or a pint of craft beer. Deanna Dzybon will lead this popular class that focuses on synchronizing movements with your breath while building strength in the body and the mind. The intention: to cultivate compassionate self-awareness. Added bonus: Spice Delight Mobile Cafe will be on hand for post-class eats along with live music by Tyler Millard.

Whether it’s for an aperitif before dinner or to cap off the perfect lunch date, head over to Westbend for a red wine and Black Mountain Chocolate this pre-Valentine’s Day weekend. Tasting includes three wine and chocolate pairings with a rose for the ladies. Tastings will be held 10 guests at a time.
